Advertising Sales Manager: KEY JOB FUNCTIONS -Exemplify and maintain professional behaviors at all times to include, but not limited to: attendance, personal conduct, professional communication, and internal & external communications. -The primary responsibility of this position consists of sales leadership ensuring that the sales team has the acumen and information they need to achieve revenue goals. -Ensures achievement of budgeted print and digital sales goals for both properties. -Makes regular calls with sales staff on current customers and prospective new business -Personally handle a list of key accounts - and lead by example! -Regularly inspects sales pipelines and is actively involved in the status of accounts opportunities -Monitors competition and changes in market conditions -Plans and implements sales campaigns and promotions with approval from Regional General Manager/Publisher. -Be the local digital leader, who is knowledgeable about digital technologies and has a proven track record of driving digital sales performance -Work with the business office to monitor and assist in collecting past due invoices and monitoring aging accounts as needed. -Working knowledge of print, production, and commercial print operations -Monitoring project progress, from planning to execution, to ensure it remains focused and effective -Negotiating contract specifications and terms with clients or other external parties -Participating in the hiring and evaluation of employees within the advertising leadership. -Providing expert advice on marketing and advertising methods for new or existing products or services. -Coordinating sales efforts with the Regional General Manager/Publisher regarding all advertising initiatives. -Provide first class customer service to all advertising clients -Engage fully in all sales initiatives as outlined by Regional Advertising Leadership. -Maintain and communicate advertising sales information with leadership and the billing department. -Provide all reports and updates to sales leadership as requested. -Work with other reps as requested on 4 legged sales calls. -Achieve print, niche, and digital sales goals. -Provide support as assigned by sales leadership Pay is based on experience and is base plus the opportunity for commission To apply, please send cover letter and resume to GM/Publisher, Bob Richardson brichardson@columbiabasinherald.com The Columbia Basin Herald is an Equal Opportunity Employer
